The Swadeshi Indology Conference Series comprise one of the activities of the Infinity Foundation India.

This series has been envisioned to counter the narrative of Western Indology and Orientalism. Western Indology often helped formulate and legitimise the British colonial policies and played a very crucial role in the successful colonisation of Indian culture and the Indian people.

Swadeshi Indology Conference [archive] Series comprise one of the activities of Infinity Foundation. As per the foundation's website, this series has been envisioned to counter the 250-year-old narrative of Western Indology, the genre of Orientalism that focuses on India[1].

Swadeshi Indology Conference -1 [archive] was held in Chennai in July 2016. Swadeshi Indology Conference 2 [archive] was held in Delhi in February 2017.

While SI-1 dealt primarily with a purvapaksha of noted Western Indologist Prof. Sheldon Pollock, SI-2 dealt with both a purvapaksha and an uttarapaksha to Pollock’s theories[2].
