Indian Head Massage, also shiroabhyanga (shiro-abhiyanga) or Champissage (a trademark; possibly a portmanteau of chāmpi, the Hindi and Urdu term for the practice, and massage[1]), is one of over 40 types of Ayurvedic massage. In champissage, the head, neck and face are massaged. Indian head massage was brought to the west by Narendra Mehta in the 1970s.[2]
